About

JOURNAL OF ORIENTAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (JOSR) is a scientific, peer-reviewed journal published every 6 months.
The manuscripts are first examined by the editor and the editorial board in terms of scientific expression and spelling rules. The manuscripts deemed appropriate are sent to three referees who are recognized for their scientific studies in their field. In line with the decisions of the referees, it is decided to publish the article or to publish it on the condition of correction. Manuscripts that are deemed inappropriate for publication in line with the decision of the referees are rejected.
Articles sent to referees are anonymous. Referee names and author names are only known and kept secret by the editorial board. Reports from the referees are kept in the journal archive.
If you are considering submitting an article to our journal, we recommend that you review the journal's publication policy and Author Guidelines on the About the Journal page. Authors must register before submitting to the journal. Once registered, they can begin the 5-step submission process via the Login link. Readers are encouraged to register for the publication notification service. This can be done through the Registration link at the top of the journal home page.

Readers who register for this service will receive the TABLE OF CONTENTS page via e-mail each time a new issue is published. As stated in the journal's privacy statement, authors' identifying information and e-mail addresses will not be used for any other purposes. We recommend research libraries to include this journal in their electronic journal collection. It is worth noting that the journal's open-code publishing system may also be suitable for use in other journals in which scholars using the library participate in the publication process. Detailed information on Open Journal Systems can be obtained from the Public Knowledge Project page.Authors can publish their work published in this journal, before and after publication, on their personal websites or in institutional archives, by referencing this journal in accordance with the rules of librarianship. This journal provides immediate open access to its content, adopting the principle that making scientific research freely available to the public will increase the global sharing of knowledge. The names and email addresses on this journal website will be used only for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other person. The copy editing stage aims to improve the fluency, clarity, grammatical structure, word choice and format of the manuscript.

Since the file to be copy-edited is in MS Word or .rtf file format, it can be easily edited as a word processing document. Two approaches are suggested here for corrections. The first is to use the "Track Changes" feature of the MS Word program. However, this requires the author, copy editor and editor to have access to the program. The second proposed system is software independent and is reproduced here with permission from Harward Educational Review. The journal editor can modify these instructions to better suit the journal's own operation.
Copy editing systems

1. With the "Track Changes" feature of MS Word, the copy editor can make the changes it deems necessary when the "Track Changes" feature under Tools on the Menu bar is activated. Text that it has added is shown in a different color, and text that it has removed is shown in the margin as strikethrough, colored or deleted. The copy editor can write in square brackets any questions they want to ask the author or editor. The document passed by the copy editor is uploaded to the system to be forwarded to the editor. The editor reviews the text and presents it to the author. The editor and the author approve the corrections they deem appropriate and bring it to the normal format, they can change it if they wish, or they can make new additions or deletions in different colors. If there are questions in square brackets in the text, the author and the editor must answer these questions within the brackets. After the text has been reviewed by the author and the editor, the copy editor reviews the text one last time and approves the changes, and the text is ready for page editing and typesetting. 2. Instructions for making electronic edits to a draft manuscript using the Harvard Educational Review method When making electronic edits to a draft manuscript, follow this procedure: Responding to suggested changes If you approve of the suggested changes, change the relevant text from bold font to regular font. If you do not approve the suggested changes, re-enter the original text and make it bold font.

2. Instructions for making electronic edits to a draft manuscript using the Harvard Educational Review method When making electronic edits to a draft manuscript, follow this procedure: Responding to suggested changes If you agree with the suggested changes, change the relevant text from bold font to regular font. If you do not approve the suggested changes, re-enter the original text and make it bold font. Making additions and deletions Mark the part you are adding in bold font. Mark the text to be deleted with square brackets as follows: [text to be deleted] If you are deleting a sentence or more, add a note in the corresponding field. For example: [2 sentences deleted: text to be deleted] Responding to questions to the author Do not touch or delete questions to the author, leave them in bold font in the text. At the end of the questions to the author, add your answer as [Author's note:]. For example: [Author's note: The discussion of methodology has been expanded as you suggested.] Commenting Use the Comment section to explain changes and major revisions to the manuscript organization, for example, [Comment: The paragraph above has been moved from page 5 to page 7] Note: When giving page numbers, use the page numbers from the hard copy you received. Page numbers may change during electronic processing.
