Abstract

Mukoepidermoid karsinom (MEK) tükürük bezinin en
sık görülen malign tümörüdür ve en sık parotiste görülür.
Onkositik mukoepidermoid karsinom (OMEK) nadir
subtiptir. Burada 28 yaşında endometrium kanseri
nedeniyle takip edilen kadın hastanın, sağ parotiste
izlenen kitlesinin primer tümör mü metastatik tümör
mü olduğunu histolojik, immünhistokimyasal ve moleküler
sonuçlarıyla sunmayı amaçladık.

HIGH-GRADE ONCOCYTIC MUCOEPIDERMOID CARCINOMA OF PAROTID GLAND, MAML2 TRANSLOCATION, A RARE CASE

Abstract

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) is the most
common malignant tumor of the salivary gland and
is most commonly seen in the parotid. Oncocytic
mucoepidermoid carcinoma (OMEC) is a rare
subtype. Here, we aimed to present the histological,
immunohistochemical, and molecular results of a
28-year-old female patient followed for endometrial
cancer, whether the mass in the right parotid is a
primary or metastatic tumor.
