Geriatrik Hastalarda Nöroonkolojik Sorunlar

Abstract

Dünya popülasyonu giderek yaşlanmakta ve bununla
orantılı olarak bu yaş grubunda görülen hastalıkların insidans ve prevalansı
artmaktadır. Özellikle bu yaş grubunda görülen nöroonkolojik hastalıklar kanser
metastazları ve glioblastome multiformedir. Eşlik eden başka hastalıkların
olması, kullanılan ilaçların yan etkileri ve uygulananan tedavi yöntemlerine
bağlı gelişebilen komplikasyonlar, bu grup hastalarda tedavi planlamasını
zorlaştırmakta, morbidite/mortalite oranlarının artmasına neden olmaktadır.  Hastalarda yaşam kalitesini ve fonksiyonel
bütünlüğü bozmadan en uygun tedavinin seçilebilmesi için önceden var olan ve
sonradan eklenebilecek sorunların multidisipliner olarak değerlendirilmesi
önemlidir.
