SERT, YUMUŞAK VE İSTİHDAM EDİLEBİLİRLİK BECERİLERİNİN ÖNEMİ: TEORİK BİR İNCELEME

Year 2023, Volume: 28 Issue: 2, 283 - 304, 30.04.2023

Abstract

THE IMPORTANCE OF HARD, SOFT AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS: A THEORETICAL EXAMINATION

Year 2023, Volume: 28 Issue: 2, 283 - 304, 30.04.2023

Abstract

In today's business world, the competitive advantage of organizations mostly depends on human capital with superior and different skills. While the hard skills of the employees are necessary for doing a job, the soft skills contribute to the long-term retention of the employees and their career advancement. Employability skills, which are a different aspect of soft skills, make it easier for new graduates to find a job and progress in their careers. In this context, in this study which is discussed for the first time in the national literature, hard, soft and employability skills are discussed theoretically and the importance of soft and employability skills in terms of business world is emphasized. As a result, it has been determined that soft skills have gained more importance than hard skills in the recent period, employers care more about soft skills than technical skills during employment, and employability skills are of critical importance in employment.
