Abstract
Michael Devitt çeşitli makalelerinde A priori gerekçelendirmenin var olmadığı veya bu kavramın felsefi bir öneme sahip olmadığı şeklindeki deneyci görüşü, bu terimin açık kılınamayacak kadar muğlak olduğunu ve epistemik gereklendirmeye doğacı ve bütüncül gözle bakılırsa böyle bir kavrama (epistemo- loji, mantık ve matematikte dahi) gerek olmadığını göstermeye çalışarak savunmuştur. Bu çalışmada Devitt’in argümanının hatalı olduğu görüşü, Devitt’in açık kılınamayacak kadar muğlaklık eleştirisine benzer bir eleştirinin empirik gerekçelendirme kavramı ve bu kavramın epistemolojik, mantıksal ve matematiksel soruşturmadaki rolü hakkında da ileri sürülebileceği temelinde savunulmuştur. Ayrıca eğer bu görüş haklıysa, muğlaklık eleştirisinin a priorizm/deneycilik tartışmasında belirleyici bir rolü olduğu da söylenemez.
