Özet
Protestanln ortaya çkna neden olan ve Reform’un yaplmasn hazrlayan olaylar, ayn zamanda
Katolik Kilisesi’nin kendi içinden de baz eletirilerin seslendirilmesine zemin hazrlam-
tr. 16.yy.’da balayan Hümanizm, Rönesans ve Reform hareketlerinin sonuçlarndan Katolik Kilisesi
de etkilenmitir. Bunun sonucunda Katolik Kilisesi kendi içinde baz konularn tartlmasn
ve Trento Konsili’ni (1545-1563) toplama karar almtr. Ancak, bu ‘otoriter ve tepkisel’ tedbirler
Kilise’nin kendi mensuplarndan daha da uzaklamasna neden olmutur. Katolik Kilisesi tarihinde,
Kilise’nin kendini ‘modern gelimelere ayak uydurmas’ ve hem doktrin hem de tekilat
yaps bakmndan ‘güncellenmesini salamas’ anlamna gelen Aggiornamento yapma ihtiyacn
hissettii ikinci önemli ‘reform’ çalmalar ise, üphesiz II. Vatikan Konsili ile olmutur. Aratrmada
Katolik Kilisesi’ndeki bu deiimler ve Katoliklerin buna tepkisi ele alnmaktadr.

Abstract
The events that cause the emergence of Protestantism and prepare the execusion of the Reformation
form a basis of some criticism within the Catholic Church at the same time. Catholic
Church also effected from Humanism which begin in the 16th century, Renaissance and Reform.
As a result, Catholic Church decided to discuss some topics and to gather the council of the
Trento (1545-1563). But the authoritative and reactional precautions resulted alienation of the
Church’s own members. In the Church history, II. Vatican council made the huge changing in
the field of the reconciliation of the church with the modernism which is called “Aggiornamento”.
This study examines these changes of the Church and its reception by the catholics.
