Abstract
Hans-Georg Gadamer, şaheser niteliğindeki Wahrheit und Methode “Hakikat ve Yöntem” yapıtıyla tanınan yirminci yüzyılın en önemli filozof ve sosyologlarından birisiydi. Gadamer’in bu kitabı felsefi hermenötiğin temelini atmıştır. Gadamer’in felsefi projesi, Hakikat ve Yöntem’de açıklandığı gibi, Heidegger’in başlattığı ama hiçbir zaman uzun uzadıya ele almadığı “felsefi hermenötik” kavramını detaylandırmaktı. Gadamer’in asıl amacı, insan anlayışının doğasını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu kitabında filozof, “gerçek” ve “yöntem”in birbiriyle çeliştiğini savunmaktaydı. Gadamer’e göre, sanat deneyimi bilimsel yöntemlerle erişilemeyen gerçekleri sağlamada örnek teşkil eder ve bu deneyim, insan bilimlerinin tüm alanına yansıtılmaktadır. Gadamer insan bilimlerine yönelik iki yaklaşımı eleştirmektedir. Geisteswissenschaften [Beşeri Bilimler] kavramıyla bir yandan metinleri ve sanatı basitçe “nesnel olarak” gözlemlemeyi ve analiz etmeyi amaçlayan doğa bilimlerini model alan beşeri bilimlere yönelik modern yaklaşımları eleştirmekteydi. Öte yandan, örneğin Friedrich Schleiermacher ve Wilhelm Dilthey tarafından temsil edilen ve anlamın bir nesne olarak bir metinde belirli bir süreç aracılığıyla bulunabileceğine inanan beşeri bilimlere geleneksel Alman yaklaşımlarına itiraz etmekteydi. Yazarın bir metnin oluşmasına yol açan düşünceleriyle bağlantısına inanan (Schleiermacher) veya insanın iç yaşamının ifade edilmesine yol açan durum (Dilthey) fikirlerine karşıydı. Gadamer, anlam ve anlamanın belirli yöntemlerle bulunabilecek nesneler değil, kaçınılmaz fenomenler olduğunu savunmaktaydı. Hermenötik, bir yorumcunun belirli bir anlam bulduğu bir süreç değil, anlamayı insanın ontolojik süreci olarak açıklamaya yönelik felsefi bir çabaydı. Bu nedenle, Gadamer nasıl anlaşılacağına dair kuralcı bir yöntem vermiyor, bunun yerine metinler, sanat eserleri veya deneyim olsun, anlamanın nasıl mümkün olduğunu incelemek için çalışmaktaydı. Bu makalede Gadamer’in eserleri minvalinde felsefi tefsir geleneği ile yorum bilime katkıları tartışılacaktır.
